Social Networking snelstgroeiende mobiele trend in de VS.

donderdag 3 juni 2010 — Volgens het Amerikaanse marketingbureau comScore is het aantal gebruikers van applicaties over april 2010 gestegen met 28 procent ten opzichte van april 2009. Het gebruik van Sociale Netwerken via de Smartphone neemt daar het grootste deel van voor in rekening. Ook op andere vlakken is het aantal gebruikers gestegen.

Wat doen de Amerikanen met hun Smartphone?

Het aantal gebruikers dat via hun mobiel aan Social Networking deed is gestegen tot 14,5 miljoen. Dit is een stijging van maar liefst 240 procent! Internetbankieren via de Smartphone zag een stijging naar bijna 5 miljoen gebruikers. Dit is een verdubbeling. Het gebruik van Nieuws Apps steeg 124 procent naar 9,3 miljoen gebruikers. Van de diverse Sport Apps steeg het aantal gebruikers met 113 procent naar 7,7 miljoen.

‘Hoewel de groei in het gebruik van Smartphone applicaties in de spotlight blijft staan binnen de mobiele markt is het gebruik van de Webbrowser groter en groeit dit even snel. Bedrijven dienen bij het uiteenzetten van hun Mobiele strategie rekening te houden met beide kanalen (Apps en Webbrowser)’

Gebruik van de webbrowser op de Smartphone

Bijna 73 miljoen mobiele gebruikers in de Verenigde Staten hebben toegang gezocht tot hun browser. Net als bij toegang via applicaties is ook de toegang tot sociale netwerk sites via de browser flink gegroeid. Ten opzichte van april 2009 is het aantal gebruikers met 90 procent gestegen naar 30 miljoen gebruikers. Op de voet gevolgd door toegang tot bankrekeningen met 69 procent naar 13,2 miljoen gebruikers. Daarnaast is ook online verkoop met de Smartphone via de browser flink gestegen naar 7,3 miljoen gebruikers.

Dat zijn hele indrukwekkende cijfers. In de rest van de wereld zullen vergelijkbare stijgingen te verwachten denken we. Nederland heeft altijd al een hoge internetdichtheid gehad. Dit zal met mobiel internet niet anders zijn.
